2004 Mainship Pilot 30 Rum Runner

The 2004 Mainship Pilot 30 Rum Runner is a downeast-styled pilothouse cruiser built on a solid fiberglass hull with a full keel, bronze strut, and protected running gear. Powered by a 315 horsepower Yammer six-cylinder diesel with just 581 hours of operation, it cruises at 15 knots and reaches 18 knots at top speed. The boat features a bow thruster for close-quarters handling, a 22-inch five-blade propeller, and hydraulic steering with trim tabs. A full complement of navigation electronics includes Raymarine GPS, plotter, radar, and autopilot, plus dual VHF radios and an AM/FM stereo system.

The cabin offers comfortable accommodations with rich cherry paneling and cherry and holly flooring throughout. The galley on the port side includes a refrigerator, electric cooktop, microwave, and sink. A full head with electric toilet and shower sits to starboard. Forward is a U-shaped dinette with a folding table, and the V-berth with a slide-out leg section converts to a queen bed. The cabin stands 6 feet 3 inches headroom and features cedar-lined hanging lockers, built-in storage, and ultra-leather tan upholstery.

Recent upgrades enhance efficiency and comfort. New electrical systems include two 100-watt solar panels with controllers, a 2000-watt inverter, and two sets of AGM house and start batteries installed in 2024. The aluminum fuel tanks total 350 gallons, and a 6-gallon hot water heater supplies the shower system. Exterior improvements include a navy blue Bimini top with three-sided enclosure, grab rails, and new bronze cockpit scupper thru-hulls from 2024. Three Rule bilge pumps with automatic float switches provide redundancy, and comprehensive bonding with zinc anode protection ensures long-term durability.
