2004 Nordic Tug 42

The Nordic Tug 42 is a 42-foot fiberglass trawler built with a hard chine semi-displacement hull and full keel. Powered by a single Cummins 450 diesel engine, it reaches a top speed of around 16 knots and cruises at 12 knots. The boat can be throttled back to 9 knots for fuel-efficient longer passages. An Onan 11.5 kW generator provides auxiliary power.

The layout centers on an upper pilothouse with a large helm station, chart table, and 360-degree sightlines. Direct access to the deck makes it easy to move around underway. Below, the boat sleeps four across two cabins: a walk-around queen stateroom and a guest cabin, each with its own head. The galley is galley-style U-shaped, and a spacious salon rounds out the living spaces.

The hand-laid fiberglass construction and full keel are designed for capable ocean work and a stable, quiet ride in rougher conditions. The engine has recently had a full service.
