The 2004 Oceanfast 53 is a 174-foot aluminum motor yacht built for speed and extended range cruising. Twin MTU engines delivering 7,500 horsepower enable a maximum speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots. The hull design combines distinctive styling with expansive deck spaces suited to trans-Atlantic voyages.
Accommodation comprises ten cabins and six heads. The layout provides comfortable quarters for owners and guests across multiple deck levels, with additional crew facilities including a mess area that received new flooring during recent upgrades.
The yacht underwent extensive mechanical work in summer 2023, including major servicing of both main engines, complete overhaul of diesel generators, and comprehensive inspection and replacement of seawater and bilge systems. Deck machinery—boat cranes, anchor windlasses, and capstans—were overhauled, with crane load tests performed to Bureau Veritas standards. The hydraulic system, stabilizers, flaps, and steering gear all received full attention. Air conditioning compressors were serviced with refrigerant replacement, and the watermaker underwent chemical cleaning with new filter installation. Hull shell plates were replaced as required, bottom paint refreshed, and zinc anodes renewed. Navigation equipment including radar and ECDIS were replaced, and a new vessel monitoring system was installed.
In 2025, further upgrades followed: new engine control and monitoring systems, updated lighting and AI cameras throughout, new electronic control panels for flaps and stabilizers, a Sonos audio system with fresh televisions, updated laundry equipment, and Starlink installation. The teak sun deck was replaced and all main and sun decks were sanded and refinished.
