2004 Sea Ray 550 Sundancer

This 2004 Sea Ray 550 Sundancer is a 55-foot express cruiser built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin MAN D2848 LE403 diesel engines delivering 1,600 total horsepower. The port engine underwent a full rebuild approximately six years ago and carries fewer than 200 operating hours. Both engines run at low hours overall—roughly 1,000 combined—and are paired with direct-drive transmissions fitted with dripless shaft seals. The yacht features traditional shaft-and-prop propulsion with a bow thruster rather than pod drives, alongside a hydraulic swimstep.

The 550 Sundancer accommodates cruising and entertaining with a spacious cockpit and foredeck layout. A 17-kilowatt Onan generator supports four-zone air conditioning and heating throughout the boat, including the cockpit. Recent updates in 2023 include new Garmin electronics, flatscreen televisions installed in multiple areas, complete cockpit and foredeck upholstery refresh, and replacement polycarbonate panels for the cockpit. Bottom paint, shaft seals, and underwater lighting were also completed that year.

The yacht includes an AB 12-foot center console rigid inflatable tender powered by a 40-horsepower Honda engine, purchased new in 2022. General maintenance in recent months has covered engine and generator servicing along with interior and exterior detailing.
