The 2004 Sonic USA 45SS is a high-performance center console built with advanced construction methods. The hull combines premium gelcoat, vinylester resin, Divinycell foam core, and biaxial glass layup across three main components—cabin, deck, and hull—bonded together and fully foam-filled for a lightweight yet rigid structure. Twin Cobra 1100 engines, each 600 cubic inches, were refreshed in August 2020 with approximately 30 hours of runtime and paired with Mercury #6 drives, 5-blade cleaver props, ITS boxes, and trim tabs. The boat achieved 99 mph in testing.
The cockpit features a walk-around deck layout with an extended swim platform, drop-down swim ladder, and transom shower. A spacious sunpad sits forward with a large salon seating area and vee berth. The dash is fully instrumented with Gaffrig gauges, a Garmin GPS chartplotter, compass, depth sounder, and K-controls with power trim. Power-operated engine hatch, removable cockpit carpet, and power-drop bolster seats for driver and passenger enhance usability. Battery switches are positioned under the backseat, and shore power with battery charger is included.
Below, the deep cuddy cabin offers sleeping berths and includes a galley with countertop and sink, indirect lighting, refrigerator with mirrored door, and an enclosed head with sink, shower, and pump-out toilet. Throughout the cabin, red faux carbon fiber accents complement color-matched cupholders, switch panels, and steering wheel.
The boat comes with a Myco custom triple-axle trailer fitted with swing-away drive guard, custom wheels, and spare tire. The hull measures 44 feet 6 inches overall with an 8-foot 6-inch beam, 25-degree transom deadrise, and displaces 11,500 pounds.
