2004 Tiara Yachts 4200 Open

The Tiara 4200 Open is a 42-foot express cruiser built with the company's traditional construction methods: a gelcoat exterior, hand-laid fiberglass, and balsa-cored hull sides and deck using premium blended resin. Twin Cummins QSM11 diesel engines, each producing 660 horsepower, deliver the power expected from this platform, monitored via a Cummins C-Cruise engine display.

The upper cockpit is expansive and well-equipped with a wet bar featuring a sink, cutting board, refrigerator, and insulated aft cooler—suitable for fishing or cruising alike. An automatic rope and chain windlass with foredeck foot pedal and remote helm controls simplifies anchoring. A bow thruster enables precise maneuvering in close quarters and challenging conditions. The deck includes four 10-inch spring line cleats and two 6-inch fender cleats for secure docking.

The windshield is a custom composite frame with tempered safety glass, integrated handrails, a power-opening center section, and three washer/wiper units. Electrical infrastructure includes a custom 12V DC and 120V/240V AC system, a 50-amp battery charger, and dual-bank gel-cell batteries to support heavy onboard loads.

Recent updates include new Garmin electronics for navigation and newly refreshed upholstery completed by Tiara's own craftsmen. The boat has been operated in freshwater only throughout its life.
