2004 Viking 56 Convertible

The 2004 Viking 56 Convertible is a diesel-powered sportfish with twin MTU 12V2000 engines delivering 2,960 horsepower combined. She reaches a maximum speed of 39 knots and cruises at 33 knots. Built on a fiberglass hull measuring 56 feet in length with an 18-foot beam, this convertible offers the traditional Viking blend of seaworthiness and fishing capability.

Below deck are three staterooms and two heads, providing comfortable accommodation for extended trips. The layout is well-proportioned for a boat of this size and class. Fishing amenities include Rupp outriggers for trolling and a navigation suite that comprises dual Garmin 8212, dual Garmin 8217, and a Garmin sounder system. Communication equipment includes two Icom M604 radios.

Between 2020 and 2022, the boat received substantial updates. The hull was repainted in 2020, and a new mezzanine was added the same year. Interior work included new headliners and carpet throughout in 2021, fresh soft goods furnishings, and refinished galley wood doors. The electrical system was upgraded with new LED lighting throughout in 2022. Climate control was modernized with new air conditioning units that year, and twin Onan 21.5kw generators were installed in 2022. The navigation electronics were also updated in 2022.
