2005 Albin 28 Tournament Express

This 2005 Albin 28 Tournament Express is a fiberglass pilothouse yacht built in the classic Downeast tradition. Powered by a single Yanmar 6LPA diesel engine producing 315 horsepower, the boat cruises at 18.5 knots and reaches a top speed of 24 knots, consuming just 7 gallons per hour at 16 knots. The engine has logged 1,600 hours and includes a Reverso oil change system for straightforward maintenance.

Electronics and systems reflect recent investment. A three-year-old Furuno 12-inch chartplotter with autopilot serves as the navigation hub, networked to a Fusion stereo with Apple Play integration. The boat carries a 200-amp-hour lithium house battery with dedicated charger and an Entec West generator rated at 4.2 kilowatts with 551 hours of runtime. A Vacu-flush head and Lofrans Dorado windlass with Rocna 10 anchor round out the mechanical package.

The exterior shows meticulous attention. A custom chrome deck shade was fitted three years ago, accompanied by new SeaMark canvas. The hull underwent soda blasting and barrier coating four years ago and currently wears SeaHawk Biocop bottom paint with no signs of damage. Original gelcoat remains intact throughout. The boat came equipped with custom outriggers and all original books and manuals are on file.
