2005 Aquamarine albadra 600

This 60-foot catamaran was designed by the respected French naval architecture firm Berret and Racoupeau and built by Aquamarine in Italy in 2005, with only two units constructed. The hull features distinctive curved lines and is constructed from fiberglass. Two Volkswagen diesel engines of 240 hp each power the boat, which performs well in light conditions—achieving 9 knots in 11 knots of wind and capable of reaching 20 knots. The sail plan includes spectra sails with a gennaker, appropriately sized for the catamaran's dimensions and performance envelope.

The layout accommodates five cabins plus crew quarters. Four double cabins are situated in the hulls, each with a private ensuite bathroom featuring an electric toilet. The main saloon stands out for its generous volume and 360-degree panoramic visibility through large windows that run the full circumference. The galley is fully equipped, and a crew cabin with head and shower is located forward. Two aft helm stations make the deck plan intuitive and allow the boat to be handled by a reduced crew.

The interior employs a modern palette of white and grey. Recent extensive investment has included new paint, standing rigging, sails, a watermaker, generator, and electronics. The boat has been thoroughly maintained and is straightforward to operate.
