2005 Baja 242 Islander

The 2005 Baja 242 Islander is a 24-foot fiberglass bowrider built for active water use. It combines open bow design with functional seating and storage, rated for eight people. The hull features a deep vee design with a 24-degree deadrise for smooth running in varied water conditions. A tinted windshield with folding walk-through section provides weather protection forward.

Power comes from a MerCruiser 496 Mag engine producing 375 horsepower, paired with a Bravo One drive and stainless Mirage Plus three-blade propeller. The engine has been run 517.3 hours total, with 299.2 hours at idle speeds below 749 RPM. Exhaust is switchable through the hull with polished slash-cut tips.

The boat includes an open bow seating area with fill-in cushions, driver and passenger bucket seats, and a rear bench seat. A rear sunpad sits forward of the transom. Midship accommodations feature a porta potty and dedicated storage room for gear. Aft storage includes a wet locker accessed via push-button power hatch. Twin walk-through passages connect the transom to cockpit. The extended fiberglass swim platform has a drop-down swim ladder, stainless cleats, and ski tow eye.

Standard equipment includes a bimini top, storage cover, depth sounder, and polished Livorsi II gauges with Livorsi controls and power trim. The tilt helm has a ship-to-shore radio. Audio is handled by an updated Clarion Marine Bluetooth stereo with updated speakers, plus Clarion and Pioneer subwoofers. A Heritage tandem axle trailer with polished wheels and diamond plate step pads is included.
