2005 Beneteau First 44.7

Sabbatical is a 2005 Beneteau First 44.7 performance cruiser built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a 54 hp Volvo diesel. The boat combines speed and comfort, with three staterooms and two heads offering accommodation for larger crews. The design prioritizes both distance racing and extended cruising, with handling manageable enough for two people.

The boat carries a strong sail inventory suited to varying conditions, including two carbon fiber spinnaker poles. The performance package features a deep draft keel and matching rig. The hull, keel, and rudder were professionally faired and long boarded, and the bottom was last hauled in 2022.

Recent maintenance includes replacement of the rudder bearings and sleeves in March 2025. A new mainsail and stack pack were installed in 2023.
