2005 Cabo 40 Express

The 2005 Cabo 40 Express is a fiberglass express cruiser built for serious fishing. Twin CAT C12 diesel engines produce 1,430 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 33 knots. The 40-foot hull with a 15.75-foot beam provides a stable platform for offshore work.

The boat features one cabin and one head for overnighting capability. The wheelhouse is equipped with Garmin electronics and a Furuno side-scan sonar system for locating fish. A Seakeeper gyro stabilizer reduces roll in a seaway, improving comfort and fishing conditions. Tuna tubes are integrated into the design for live bait storage.

Key recent work includes a 3,000-hour service on the engines. The boat also carries an upgraded generator to support onboard systems and equipment during extended trips offshore.
