This 2005 Chaparral 290 Signature is a freshwater cruiser powered by twin MerCruiser GM V8 engines producing 270 horsepower each. The engines have logged only 541 hours and the boat has been consistently stored indoors in heated conditions throughout its life on the Great Lakes. The fiberglass hull measures 30 feet 8 inches in length with a 10-foot beam.
The interior layout centers on a spacious salon with a C-shaped lounge that converts to a dinette, opposite a fully equipped galley. The forward V-berth sleeps two and can be configured as additional seating or dining space. An aft cabin provides sleeping for two more, and a private head includes a VacuFlush toilet, sink, and pull-out shower.
On-deck amenities and systems include a windlass with 200 feet of line and 30 feet of chain, remote spotlight and compass, sun pad, Raymarine VHF radio, and Garmin GPS 3206. The boat is fitted with a JBL stereo system with six-CD changer, Samsung Smart TV, and transom stereo remote. A gas generator with sound shield powers the systems, supported by a wet bar with filtered water and Isotherm cockpit refrigerator. Hot and cold shower capabilities are available at the transom.
Additional features include the newer full camper top canvas with screens, glass panels, and night shades; a walk-through windshield for bow access; sliding screen door to the salon; bow scuff plate; and fresh bottom paint. A tri-axle Trailmaster trailer is available for transport.
