The 2005 Coastal Craft Sedan Flybridge is a 40-foot aluminum-hulled flybridge yacht powered by twin Volvo Penta diesel engines producing 700 horsepower combined. The boat cruises at 22 knots with a top speed of 27 knots and is equipped with trim tabs for improved handling and stability. The aluminum construction provides durability and corrosion resistance, supported by a hull design engineered for solid performance in varied sea conditions.
The interior centers on a spacious salon with panoramic windows, leather seating, and custom maple cabinetry. Below deck, the master stateroom features a queen berth with generous storage. The galley is well-appointed with ample storage and counter space. A single head serves the accommodations.
The flybridge provides a commanding helm station with navigation electronics and guest seating, while the lower helm offers an alternative control center with excellent visibility. Both helm positions allow easy access to the main salon and galley.
Recent engine maintenance included major service on both powerplants: heat exchangers, after coolers, exhaust elbows, and oil coolers were inspected and rebuilt as needed; all hoses and clamps were replaced where necessary; fresh antifreeze, new oil and filters, and crank case vent filters were installed; and oil samples were taken before service. A sea trial was completed following this work.
