2005 Contender 36 Open

This 2005 Contender 36 Open is a composite-hulled offshore sportfisher powered by twin 2017 Yamaha 350s. The boat measures 36 feet in length with a 10-foot beam and features a 24.5-degree deadrise designed for aggressive offshore performance. Fuel capacity reaches 410 gallons, and the boat weighs 5,600 pounds. All systems are functional except the port-side fuel gauge.

The open layout centers on fishing capability with two above-deck transom livewells, recessed hydraulic trim tabs, and two 76-gallon in-deck fish boxes forward with an ice locker aft. The recessed bow rail and open design provide working space for serious fishing work.

Equipment includes a Minn Kota I-Pilot 36V trolling motor with 110-pound thrust and 72-inch shaft, Furuno NavNet radar with 3-kilowatt sonar, Garmin GPSmap 740, Icom and Standard Horizon VHF radios, EPIRB, two inboard battery chargers, and three electric reel ports. Batteries are one year old. Two new bucket seats and a new power steering pump have been recently installed. The fresh water pump is new, and all trailer tires including the spare are new.

The boat was recently serviced and maintained for personal use. It comes with an included trailer.
