2005 Cruisers Yachts 540 Express

This 2005 Cruisers Yachts 540 Express is a 54-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Volvo Penta D12 diesel engines producing 1,430 horsepower combined. The engines run just 990 hours. The boat reaches a top speed of 34 knots and cruises at 28 knots, with a bow thruster for improved maneuvering. The hull sides were repainted several years ago and recently received a three-step buff and wax.

The yacht accommodates two cabins and two heads. The layout includes a custom sun pad with flip-up backrests and a custom dodger providing shade on the bow, along with custom-made cushions throughout. A camper top and enclosure in navy blue was installed in 2017, and custom sunshades protect the rear enclosure.

Recent updates include Starlink (2024), new cockpit upholstery and camper top enclosure (2022), a new freshwater pump (2023), new thruster and house batteries (2023 and 2022), an inverter and battery isolator with charger (2022), central vacuum systems, Garmin ship-to-shore radios, and newer Raymarine electronics. New cutlass bearings were fitted in 2020. The boat is powered by fresh water only and includes an Achilles dinghy with a 6-horsepower four-stroke motor.
