2005 Custom Cantiere Navale Petronio Lobster 44

This 44-foot downeast motor yacht was built in 2005 by Cantiere Navale Petronio using cold-molded West System mahogany construction. The design emphasizes seaworthiness and timeless cruising appeal, with twin Aifo Iveco diesel engines producing 800 horsepower combined. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 26 knots and cruises comfortably at 18 knots, though it is equally at home running economically on a single engine at much lower speeds.

The interior offers three cabins and two heads, laid out to accommodate extended cruising. Notable equipment includes an 8-kilowatt generator, air conditioning, bowthruster, electro-hydraulic folding gangway, solar panels, forward and aft search lights, underwater LED lighting, and an observer seat with its own bimini on the wheelhouse roof. The yacht is also fitted with a Bose stereo system.

The mahogany wooden construction was specifically chosen for its strength, quietness, and longevity. The boat has seen relatively light use since launch, with fewer than 800 hours on the engines.
