This 34-foot wooden-hulled sail-assisted trawler was built in 2005 by her owners using carvel-planked pressure-treated pine over sawn frames with galvanized fasteners. She combines a traditional displacement hull with steadying sails to reduce fuel consumption and provide smoother passages. The interior features varnished cypress with bronze fasteners, designed throughout for simplicity and self-sufficiency. A brand-new 57-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine was installed in 2025 and has run fewer than 10 hours, backed by a two-year warranty.
The boat accommodates a couple with a queen centerline berth, a composting head installed in 2022, and a shower tub. The main cabin includes a Sigmar diesel heater with cooktop and oven, a two-burner propane stove, and an ice box for refrigeration. Lighting combines kerosene cabin lamps with 12-volt electric options. All systems are set up to operate manually without reliance on complicated mechanical or electrical infrastructure. A manually-lowered mast enables inland exploration and Great Loop cruising.
Deck equipment includes three sails in average condition—mainsail, jib, and drifter—plus a CPT autopilot and kerosene running and anchor lights. An ABI horizontal manual windlass and a comprehensive anchor system are fitted, with four anchors totaling over 350 pounds and 200 feet of 5/16-inch chain. A custom 8-foot fiberglass tender with 2.3-horsepower Honda outboard is included. Additional equipment encompasses a 2-kilowatt portable generator, manual and electric bilge pumps, ProMariner battery charger, and a full inventory of dock lines, fenders, and safety gear. The boat comes with chart books, dive and snorkel equipment, and fishing gear.
