A 2005 Edey & Duff Doughdish, the fiberglass interpretation of the classic Herreshoff 12½. Hull number 505, this boat combines the proven design of the original wooden class with modern composite construction. The Doughdish remains the only fiberglass version approved as class-legal, making it popular among both racers and daysailers.
The boat is appointed with varnished teak, bronze hardware, and traditional details including an oar with oar locks on both sides. She carries spinnaker gear with chocks for the pole and features a cockpit tent that doubles as a sail cover. A manual bilge pump and port-side motor mount (without engine) are fitted. A single-point lifting system was installed in 2025.
The original sails—main, jib, and spinnaker—remain in very good condition, benefiting from light use and mostly freshwater operation. They suit racing equally well as casual daysailing.
A Triad trailer with working lights and a full-size spare tire accompanies the boat. The trailer has seen minimal use and is stored indoors.
