The Farr 64 is a Bruce Farr design built by BSI in Sweden, representing a capable and comfortable blue water cruiser suited equally to Mediterranean and long-distance sailing. At 63 feet with an 18-foot beam, she balances seaworthiness with manageable handling for short-handed crews. Her rig includes a carbon mast with in-mast furling, cutter configuration, and hydraulic furlers on both head sails for ease of control. A Magictrim captive mainsheet operated by push-button from the boom, along with hydraulic winches and a powerful bow thruster, make her straightforward to operate from the cockpit. She carries North 3D sails and is powered by a single 190 hp Yanmar diesel engine.
The interior comprises five cabins and three heads across a well-considered layout. The deck saloon is light and airy, with dining table, chart table, and galley amidships. The forward master cabin sits ahead of the mast with its own bathroom. A single-berth cabin opens to a workshop accessible via through-deck hatch. Additional accommodations include a day heads with single berth in the aft passageway, and aft cabins featuring one twin and one double berth with a third bathroom. Throughout, Tecma freshwater flush toilets are fitted. The galley and accommodation spaces are finished to high standards and designed for comfort at sea.
Recent upgrades reflect continuous improvement by her current owner. In 2014, the engine and generator were replaced with modest use since. A new carbon mast was fitted in 2015 alongside a complete upgrade of Raymarine navigation systems. Lithium-ion batteries replaced the original system in 2021. The teak deck was substantially renewed in 2024 with 12.5mm planks, and a diesel cleaning system by Njord was installed the same year. The yacht carries significant auxiliary equipment including a water maker, reverse-cycle air conditioning, independent diesel heating, dual water pressure pumps at 220V and 24V, and an Opacmare electric gangway. All machinery is readily accessible for maintenance.
