2005 Formula 31 Performance Cruiser

The 2005 Formula 31 is a 33-foot express cruiser built on a fiberglass hull with twin MercruiserMX 6.2 liter V8 engines producing 640 horsepower total. The boat is powered by Bravo 3 outdrives and reaches a cruising speed of 26 knots with a top speed of 43 knots. A deep-V hull design, hydraulic trim tabs, and precision steering provide stable handling across varying sea conditions.

The interior includes a convertible dinette, forward double berth, and mid-cabin lounge convertible to sleeping quarters. The galley holds a two-burner electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, and sink. A full head with toilet, sink, and shower serves the cabin. Headroom measures 6 feet 2 inches. The engine cooling system is fresh water closed-loop, with upgraded heat exchangers installed.

The topside features a spacious cockpit with wraparound lounge seating, swivel helm chair, and convertible sunpad. A wet bar with refrigerator and sink sits in the cockpit. An extended swim platform with concealed ladder provides water access. A stainless steel BBQ grill is mounted on deck. Equipment includes a Raymarine 12-inch multifunction display with HD radar, chart plotter, and fish finder; Raymarine ST60 instrumentation; Icon VHF radio; Kenwood stereo system with Bluetooth and waterproof speakers; 12,000-BTU air conditioning and heating; 7.3-kilowatt Kohler generator; windlass with anchor and chain; dual shorepower cords; and powered stainless steel dinghy davits rated for 400 pounds.

Recent upgrades totaling over $35,000 include imitation teak Plasdeck decking, new heat exchangers, powered davits, the Raymarine navigation suite, VHF radio, four AGM batteries installed in 2017, and a new television in the aft cabin. Bottom paint applied in December 2023 remains serviceable for three years. The boat has been regularly maintained with bottom cleaning and zinc replacement every two months.
