The Formula 40 Performance Cruiser is a fiberglass cruiser designed by John Adams of Thunderbird. At just over 40 feet in length with a 12.67-foot beam, it delivers a cruising speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 32 knots from twin Yanmar 6LY2A-STP diesel engines producing 880 horsepower combined. The boat has accumulated only 800 hours and runs with purpose-built performance and handling.
The cabin offers up to 6 feet 9 inches of headroom and includes comfortable living spaces for the crew. A generous cockpit provides room for captain and crew, while multiple stowage areas are integrated throughout the design. The interior is appointed with modern conveniences.
The engines and systems have been recently serviced for the 2026 season with new hoses and belts installed. Recent replacements include all window hatches, trim tabs, bow thruster, batteries, canvas, cabin air conditioning, cabin radio, televisions, and a new Garmin navigation system. The original owner has maintained the boat throughout its service life and retains all owner manuals and maintenance invoices. The interior carpet and cabin walls show wear and could benefit from refreshing.
