2005 Grand Banks 49 Eastbay SX

This 2005 Grand Banks 49 Eastbay SX is a downeast cruiser built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin CAT C-12 diesel engines producing 705 horsepower. The boat cruises at 25 knots with a top speed of 30 knots. The SX model distinguishes itself with a factory hard-back salon enclosure rather than the canvas soft-back found on other variants, creating an enclosed salon space that is finished to a higher standard and can be secured for weather protection and security.

The boat features a unique layout with an oversized master stateroom and dedicated office. Teak decking runs across the cockpit, where an electric grill and ice maker are installed. The enclosed salon includes Poseidon pleated shades throughout the windows, windshield, and aft door. A hydraulic TNT swim platform provides aft access.

Power generation is handled by an Onan 13.5KW diesel generator. The twin CAT engines carry approximately 1,750 hours, while the generator has logged 1,425 hours. A bow thruster was added in April 2023. The hydraulic swim platform was rebuilt in 2022 with a new dinghy cradle added in 2023. Electronics were upgraded to Garmin systems in 2024. The hull is painted in Awl Grip "San Mateo Wheat" finish, and the boat is equipped with Twin Disk MGX 5114 A transmission gears.
