2005 Grand Soleil 45

The Grand Soleil 45 is a successful bluewater cruiser designed by Judel/Vrolijk and built by Cantiere del Pardo. Its fiberglass hull incorporates an internal steel frame bonded with vinylester, creating a torsion-free structure that handles loads from the mast, rigging, and keel while delivering strong performance in all weather. At 44 feet with a 14-foot beam, the yacht combines Italian styling with practical design for both ocean passage and relaxed cruising.

This 2005 example has been privately maintained and presents in excellent condition. Recent upgrades include new standing rigging installed in 2022, a new mainsail fitted in 2025, and new solar panels added the same year. The deck features full teak laid on the cabin top and cockpit, with teak seating, excellent sight lines forward, wide side decks, a integrated bathing platform with swimming ladder, and a deep, protected cockpit layout. The performance package includes a taller mast with three swept spreaders, two electric Harken 60 winches paired with four manual Harken 46 winches, and a suite of sails: a 2025 OneSails mainsail, 2017 furling genoa, 2010 spinnaker, staysail, and storm jib.

Below deck, a cherry mahogany interior provides three cabins and two heads. The forward owner's cabin includes an ensuite with shower, while two aft guest cabins share a head and shower. The saloon features U-shaped seating and a convertible dining table alongside a dedicated navigation station. An ergonomic U-shaped galley offers a two-burner stove with oven, top-loading fridge, and abundant storage.

A Volvo Penta D2-55 saildrive engine with 55 horsepower powers the yacht and recently underwent spring service. Systems include comprehensive Raymarine electronics with GPS, chartplotter, autopilot, radar, wind and depth instrumentation, and AIS. A watermaker, Webasto heater, and four 100 Ah service batteries installed in 2024 support extended cruising. The boat carries a Quicksilver tender with Honda outboard, dual anchors with electric windlass, liferaft certified in 2025, and full safety gear.
