2005 Hunter 36

The 2005 Hunter 36 is a 36-foot fiberglass sloop built for comfortable cruising in the Pacific Northwest. The boat features a bright, spacious interior with 6'5" headroom throughout, combining wood accents with practical modern systems. A single Yanmar diesel engine of 27 horsepower provides auxiliary power, supported by dual house battery banks installed in 2024–25 and a dedicated inverter system.

The accommodation plan includes an owner's stateroom forward with hanging locker and closet storage, a main saloon with a U-shaped dinette that converts to a double berth, and a guest cabin accessed through the galley. The head sits to port and features a separate shower stall and wet locker. The galley to starboard is generously sized with substantial counter space for food preparation and storage. Navigation station and bench settee occupy the port side of the main salon.

The cockpit is designed for efficient handling with stern-mounted winches and an integrated arch. Furling gear is fitted to both the main and asymmetrical spinnaker, which comes in a sock. An Iverson Isinglass enclosure encloses the cockpit for weather protection. Ground tackle consists of 220 feet of 5/16-inch chain. Deck hardware and systems support both short-handed and fully crewed operation.

Recent work includes a new hot water tank and fresh water pump (2023), dripless shaft seal (2021), new head (2023), new TV with Firestick (2024), Espar forced air heat, and a recent haul-out in January 2025. An AB tender with aluminum bottom and new 2.5 HP Mercury outboard (2023) is included.
