2005 Hunter 46

This 2005 Hunter 46 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built for freshwater cruising. The boat features a 76-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine paired with a three-blade auto-prop propeller, delivering an 8.4-knot cruising speed. The rig includes a 63-foot deck-stepped Selden boom-and-run furling mast designed for manageable sail handling.

The yacht accommodates cruising and liveaboard use with two electrically operated heads and multiple sleeping berths. Climate control comes from two separate air-conditioning and heating units. A Northern Lights 6.5-kilowatt generator—with 925 hours of runtime—powers ship systems. Navigation relies on Raymarine E-Series multifunction displays (9-inch at the helm and 12-inch at the nav desk), integrated with GPS and wind instruments.

Onboard amenities include a Bose sound system, an LG flat-screen television, a 120-volt AC isolating transformer, and custom hard-top shelter with Strataglass windows on three sides and integral Stamoid bimini. Deck features include teak walking surfaces and extended-height lifelines with one-inch stainless rail. Custom bedding for the berths is included.

Recent work includes a bottom job taken to bare hull in 2015 and refinished with VC-17 Interprotect 2000 in good condition. The auto-prop was reconditioned in 2020. Strataglass windows were replaced. The boat is reported in excellent overall condition.
