This 2005 Jefferson is a 50-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by Cummins diesel engines. The boat accumulated minimal running hours under its previous owner, who operated it seasonally from the New England area and stored it indoors during winter months.
Significant mechanical work has been completed recently. The entire drive system was rebuilt, including new shafts, couplings, shaft logs, cutlass bearings, and seals. Nibral propellers and a new shaft saver system were installed. Both Cummins engines received major service with upgraded heads and valves. These upgrades resulted in a modest increase in cruising speed. The steering system was completely rebuilt with all new components.
Additional systems were also renewed: a new Northern Lights 16kW generator with only 6 hours of operation, new battery banks, fresh bottom paint applied in August 2024, and a new air conditioning unit on the flybridge. The comprehensive work on propulsion and ship's systems reflects recent investment in the boat's mechanical condition.
