2005 Kadey-Krogen 44

The 2005 Kadey-Krogen 44 is a fiberglass trawler built for serious cruising. At 44 feet in length with a 15-foot-6-inch beam, the boat carries 800 gallons of fuel, 300 gallons of fresh water, and 52 gallons of holding capacity. A single John Deere 6068 TFMSO diesel engine producing 225 horsepower propels the yacht, with 2,442 hours logged on the engine at time of listing.

The pilothouse is thoroughly outfitted with Garmin electronics: a 7616 XSV chartplotter, GMR Fathom 54 open array radar with motion scope, GHP Reactor autopilot with dual controllers (pilothouse and flybridge), AIS 800 blackbox transceiver, and GMI 20 multifunction displays on both levels. An Airmar WS-120 weather station feeds data to the plotter. Three onboard cameras cover the engine room, flybridge, and stern views. A CT-M500 external interface box and hailer system are installed, along with depth and bottom profiling transducers. The flybridge carries its own Garmin 7610 display and compass.

Accommodation includes a guest cabin or office with an opposing head featuring a large stall shower with molded seat, bi-fold door, and stainless steel opening port. The head is equipped with a Raritan Marine Elegance freshwater toilet, replaced in December 2022. A Northern Lights M843jW 10-kilowatt generator with sound shield and stainless steel exhaust elbow provides power, with 2,250 hours recorded. Electrical systems include a Heart Freedom inverter/charger, Victron battery monitor, four AGM house batteries, dedicated AGM batteries for engine start, generator start, and bow thruster operation, and a Balmar 160-amp alternator. Starlink internet with Netgear router is installed. Dual 50-amp shore power inlets service the boat with appropriate cordage included.
