The 2005 Nordhavn 47 is a diesel-powered displacement cruiser built for extended offshore passagemaking. A single Lugger main engine rated at 174 hp provides reliable long-distance cruising at eight knots, with a 44 hp wing engine for auxiliary power and fuel efficiency. The yacht features a full suite of modern navigation electronics including dual Furuno radars, Furuno chart plotter, and Starlink connectivity, along with redundant VHF systems and an AIS transponder. Twin thruster systems—bow and stern—offer precise docking control, and ABT-Trac stabilizers reduce motion underway. The hull is fiberglass, and propulsion runs through a ZF transmission with a dry stack exhaust and keel-cooled main engine requiring no raw water intake.
The accommodations include an owner's stateroom amidships with a queen berth, private head and shower, and a forward guest cabin with ensuite head and double berth. The salon features granite countertops, a Sub-Zero refrigerator with dual freezers, GE Profile appliances including a four-burner stovetop and electric oven, and dual power recliners. The pilothouse contains a raised dinette with watch berth, and both spaces offer comprehensive climate control through five Webasto air-conditioning units and an 80,000 BTU hydronic heating system across four zones. A 600-gallon-per-day water maker supports extended cruising autonomy.
Recent upgrades include new cushioning in the salon and pilothouse, a factory re-covered helm chair, refreshed overhead panels, new Dometic toilets, and a 32-inch Samsung monitor with power-lift concealment. The electrical distribution system was upgraded in 2025 with low-draw monitoring panels. Exterior equipment includes a Rocna anchor with newly replaced galvanized chain, an 11-foot Highfield tender with Tohatsu outboard and integrated chart plotter, twin solar panels with Victron controllers, and a six-person life raft. A Northern Lights generator and Reverso oil-change system serve the main, auxiliary, and generator engines, with SeaFire automatic fire suppression in the engine room and lazarette.
