2005 Ocean Master 31 EXPRESS SPORT CABIN

The 2005 Ocean Master 31 Express Sport Cabin is a heavy-duty offshore fishing boat built around a proven fiberglass hull known for its dry ride, high bow flare, and stability. Powered by twin Mercury 350 hp Verado engines repowered in 2017, the boat delivers strong performance with a top speed near 54 mph and a comfortable cruising speed in the mid-30s. The closed transom and Armstrong bracket give the boat a spacious feel, with an expansive cockpit suitable for fishing, diving, or charter operations.

The cabin is straightforward and functional, featuring a VacuFlush head, house batteries, and both 12V and 110V electrical systems. Four starting batteries with selector switches and two house batteries with a separate charger and switching system provide reliable power. Freshwater and holding tanks are onboard, along with a cockpit rocket launcher and fighting chair.

Electronics were updated in 2023 with Simrad displays at upper and lower helms, including plotter, sounder, and radar. New VHF radios, Mercury VesselView, and SmartCraft gauges complement the setup, though the lower helm display is currently inoperative. Digital throttle and shift controls are positioned at both helm stations. New exterior upholstery, bolsters, and an isinglass enclosure around the helm were also recently added.

The engines received full service in winter 2025, including new fluids, filters, spark plugs, belts, and impellers. The Verados have approximately 415 hours on them since the repower. Performance data shows the boat reaching 34 mph at 1.54 mpg at 4,100 rpm and 42 mph at 1.31 mpg at 5,000 rpm, with fuel capacity of 250 gallons.
