The 2005 Outerlimits 51 Sport Yacht is a high-performance offshore boat built on a fiberglass step-hull design with a 51-foot length and 9.25-foot beam. Power comes from a pair of custom-built, 560 cubic inch Twin Turbo engines producing 1,200 horsepower each on pump gasoline, with capability to reach 1,350 horsepower on race fuel. The engines have been completely refreshed with only 25 hours of runtime and feature Motec fuel injection ECU management, dedicated freshwater cooling systems with large plate coolers, BAM 1550 transmissions, and Mercury Racing dry-sump outdrives turning Hering 5-blade stainless steel propellers. The boat achieves speeds in excess of 110 mph with cruising capability at 70 mph.
The cabin accommodates four people with a custom Vee berth in the master area, a full galley with sink and AC/DC refrigerator/freezer, flat-screen television, and an enclosed head with holding tank and shower. A comprehensive onboard inverter system powers central vacuum, air conditioning, and heat for up to eight hours on battery power. The cockpit features classic Outerlimits drop-down bolster seating, custom red carpet, a full gauge dash setup, and an integrated snap-on cover.
The audio system includes a JL Audio head unit, multiple high-power JL amplifiers, Focal and JL subwoofers, and JL speakers throughout. Deck hardware comprises a Danford anchor, integrated fender holders, and full Coast Guard safety equipment rated for eight passengers. The boat includes a heavy-duty custom Myco trailer that has been recently serviced with new brakes, lines, and wheel bearings.
