2005 Oyster 62

The Oyster 62 is a Rob Humphreys design that advances on its predecessor with increased volume, a longer waterline, and taller rig. The defining feature is a split cockpit layout: an aft working area with twin wheels and forward a protected, family-oriented cockpit designed for safety and comfort. Built in fiberglass, this 63-foot yacht is powered by a single Perkins/Sabre diesel engine of 182 horsepower.

The accommodation plan offers four cabins and two heads, providing space and comfort comparable to much larger yachts. The design performs strongly under sail, capable of 200-mile days in full cruising trim. The class has demonstrated competitive success in major ocean races and cruising events, including class wins in the ARC and multiple race victories at Antigua Sailing Week, and the design has proven itself on extended ocean passages including circumnavigations.
