The 2005 Rampage 33 Express is a diesel-powered sportfishing platform built around a serious offshore cockpit and express cruiser accommodations. Twin Caterpillar C-7 diesel engines rated at 460 horsepower each drive the boat to a maximum speed near 32 knots with a cruising speed around 28 knots. At 33 feet overall with a 13-foot beam and 18-degree deadrise, the hull is stable and capable in Pacific Northwest waters. The engines carry approximately 1,450 hours per side and are supported by shaft drive, dripless seals, ZF trolling valves, and an oil exchange system. An Onan 5-kilowatt diesel generator backs up the power package.
The cockpit covers roughly 70 square feet and is purpose-built for fishing. A marlin tower stands above the helm with upper and lower electronics stations—Furuno NavNet displays, 6-kilowatt radar, depth finder, Simrad autopilot, and VHF on both levels. The working deck includes a 5-foot insulated in-deck fish box, bait prep station, rod storage, leaning post, outriggers, transom door, and dedicated tackle stowage. Freshwater and raw-water washdowns, cockpit ice maker, and bait freezer round out the fishing systems.
Below, the cabin sleeps six with a forward V-berth, fold-up upper berths, and a convertible dinette, plus a starboard settee that opens to a double berth. Cherry wood joinery and teak-and-holly sole warm the interior. A full galley has a two-burner cooktop, refrigerator with freezer, and stainless sink. The enclosed head includes a shower and vanity. Air conditioning with heat and a 15-inch flat-screen television with DVD player add comfort for overnight trips. The 367-gallon fuel capacity and 60-gallon freshwater tank support extended cruising.
