2005 Regal Commodore 3880

The 2005 Regal Commodore 3880 is a 38-foot diesel-powered cruiser built on a fiberglass hull with twin Cummins engines. Its defining feature is an innovative sedan bridge design that maximizes interior volume by using the full 13-foot beam throughout the lower deck, creating six feet five inches of headroom in the salon and delivering the spaciousness of a substantially larger yacht.

The helm sits on the bridge with a tilt stainless steel steering wheel, aluminum dash, and straightforward gauge and switch layout. Standard electronics include a Raymarine depth finder, GPS chartplotter, and VHF; optional Raymarine 10-inch color chartplotter and radar are available along with autopilot. Wide molded fiberglass steps with a stainless steel handrail provide safe access to the bridge.

Below deck, the layout comprises a forward stateroom with a queen island berth, two hanging lockers, an entertainment center with TV/VCR, and storage beneath the berth. The galley offers Corian countertops, a two-burner stove, coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator-freezer combination. A privacy-door midcabin features two convertible twin berths that can form a queen with a centered padded insert. The single head includes a Corian vanity with mirrored overhead storage, a circular standup shower with swivel door, and an electric toilet.

The main salon and dinette area is finished with an entertainment center featuring a 20-inch TV/VCR, two overstuffed barrel chairs, and a wrap-around dinette with hi-lo Corian-trimmed table that converts to a queen-sized berth. An extra-wide stairway connects the cabin to the cockpit.
