2005 Sea Ray 500 Sundancer

The 2005 Sea Ray 500 Sundancer is a 53-foot express cruiser built on a deep-V hull with prop pockets designed to reduce shaft angle and optimize performance. Twin 640-horsepower Cummins QSM-11 diesel engines with V-drives deliver an efficient cruise of 26 to 28 knots. The open cockpit features an innovative rotating companion lounge that unifies the entertaining space and eliminates the segmented feel typical of express yachts.

Below deck, the layout prioritizes comfort and space by positioning both staterooms forward and eliminating a conventional mid-cabin. The result is a notably expansive salon with 6'8" headroom, elegant Ultraleather seating, cherry cabinetry, hardwood galley flooring, and a built-in flat-screen TV/DVD system. The starboard galley offers generous storage and functionality; two well-appointed heads serve owners and guests.

Equipment includes a hydraulic swim platform, hardtop, bow thruster, cockpit air conditioning and heating, cockpit refrigerator and ice maker, central vacuum system, Bose stereo, TracVision satellite TV, and an upgraded LED lighting package throughout. A Reverso oil change system is fitted for ease of maintenance.

Recent work includes fresh bottom paint and new shaft seals completed in March 2026. The boat reflects careful ownership and thoughtful maintenance across all systems.
