This 50-foot Sea Ray 500 Sundancer is a twin-diesel express cruiser built on a fiberglass hull. Twin Cummins QSM11 engines rated at 1,320 horsepower combined deliver a cruising speed of 21 knots with a top end near 28 knots. The boat cruises the East Coast and is equipped with a bow thruster and a 13.5-kilowatt generator.
Below deck, the layout comprises two staterooms and two heads, with a pull-out sofa in the saloon that provides additional sleeping space. The interior cabinetry is wood, soft goods are in good condition, and substantial under-floor storage is built throughout. The saloon headliner is sound.
The topside fiberglass hull shows solid construction with no soft spots or known delamination; minor crazing and stress cracks are present. The hull sides display small areas of dock rash, and the swim platform has some dings and scratches. The engine room features a large access hatch in the cockpit with grouped service points—raw-water strainers, an oil change system, and fuel-water separators—along with excellent access outboard of the engines and aft to the generator.
Recent maintenance and upgrades include top-end rebuilds on both Cummins engines with full shop records, new Raymarine electronics installed in 2025, new undercounter Isotherm refrigeration and freezer units fitted in 2024, and a new cockpit enclosure from 2021. Engine oil, filters, impellers, and zincs were replaced in May 2026. Maintenance records are on file from 2018 to present.
