2006 Chaparral 256 SSi

The 2006 Chaparral 256 SSi is a 26-foot fiberglass runabout powered by a Mercruiser 8.1L engine producing 370 horsepower. This model was recognized as Boat of the Year during its production run and combines day-cruising comfort with responsive performance and handling typical of sport-oriented designs.

The boat features a well-appointed layout with a helm station offering big-boat ergonomics, an enclosed fiberglass head with solid surface countertop, porcelain flushing toilet with macerator, and a walk-through transom design with full-width sun lounge and two hinged storage trunks. Boarding is made easy with fore and aft ladders, and the cockpit includes an entertainment-focused design with an upgraded Bluetooth stereo system.

Equipment includes a Corsa through-hull selectable exhaust with upgraded actuators, stainless steel risers, electric engine hatch, Neutra salt flushing system in addition to fresh water flush capability, snap-in carpet, bow and stern filler cushions, a full boat cover, and an Eisen glass wind screen. The helm features a modern enclosed design reminiscent of larger cruisers while maintaining the agility expected of a smaller performance boat.
