The 2006 Cobalt 24SX is a 24-foot fiberglass runabout built on a deep-V hull with the added practicality of a deck boat design. It bridges two boating styles: the comfort and performance of a traditional runabout meets the versatility and accessibility of a deck boat layout. Power comes from a Volvo Penta 8.1 gasoline engine producing 375 horsepower, paired with counter-rotating stainless-steel props that have been tuned and balanced.
The boat accommodates up to 15 people and features a raked European windshield with a wide-open center console and high-traffic starboard walkthrough. Forward, you'll find a sun pad, adjustable reversible helm seat with quick fore-and-aft movement, and an optional bow entry ladder stored in the anchor locker. A spacious changing room with porta-potty provides convenience for extended outings. The extended swim platform includes a ladder, and a Bimini top offers sun protection. Storage is plentiful under the seats, and the boat carries a 50-gallon fuel tank.
Equipment includes a pop-up ski tow, snap-on bow and cockpit covers, and a full mooring cover. Dual 1000-amp batteries power a stereo system with six speakers and Bluetooth capability. A matching tandem twin-axle Shore Lander trailer is included with new wiring, brakes, and a surge protector.
The engine has approximately 480 hours and has been maintained throughout its ownership with annual winterization and shrink wrapping. Within the last two years, the boat received new battery switch, starter, alternator, gimbal bearings, universal joints, steering rack, and belts. The engine was tuned and water-tested in July 2023.
