The 2006 Formula 400 Super Sport is a 40-foot diesel-powered cruiser built on a fiberglass hull. Twin Volvo Penta D6-350 diesel engines with DPHE drives power the boat, backed by a Westerbeke generator. The engines have logged 350 hours while the generator shows 1,081 hours. A bow thruster and Raymarine E-series Hybrid touchscreen with autopilot assist with handling and navigation.
The open layout centers on a well-equipped galley with full-size refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, microwave, and ample storage. The cockpit features a full enclosure canvas with bimini top, wetbar with sink and stainless steel refrigerator, and Sea Dek non-slip surfaces. A walk-thru windshield with integrated steps leads to the foredeck. Below, the cabin includes a forward V-berth with custom table and filler cushions, a mid-cabin bed with flatscreen TV, and a salon with flatscreen TV. The head includes a vacuflush toilet and separate shower. Air conditioning and heating serve the interior spaces.
Recent maintenance and upgrades include complete servicing in 2026 with fresh oil, serviced drives, fuel filters, and new belts. New DPHE drives were installed in 2023. A ceramic coat was applied in 2025, and bottom paint was refreshed the same year. A new fire suppression system was added to the engine room, along with a new Fusion head unit and upgraded LED lighting throughout. The cockpit and swimplatform feature Sea Dek, and custom carpet covers protect the cabin surfaces. A new Raymarine autopilot system is installed, and the audio system includes Nertz speakers and subwoofers.
The boat is dry stored during winter months and has always been maintained on freshwater. The swimplatform is large, with additional transom storage and a windlass for anchoring.
