This 2006 Grady-White Gulfstream 232 is a 23-foot fiberglass cuddy cabin built for serious fishing and coastal cruising. Twin 300-horsepower Yamaha engines power the boat. The port engine experienced a piston failure that damaged the block; the starboard engine remains fully functional. Recent engine work includes new filters, replacement of plastic balancing gears with metal versions, and fresh compression throughout both motors.
The layout centers on a spacious cockpit with a full transom, engine bracket, and fold-down transom bench seat. Wide side pathways provide easy access forward to the bow. The helm features high-back chairs with armrests and storage beneath each side. Below deck, a small galley sits to port with a marine head to starboard and cabin access forward of the port seating.
Recent upgrades include new upholstery throughout, a new amplifier with FM/AM/Bluetooth and XM radio, new macerator, fresh sea cocks and hoses, and new Yamaha CommandLink controls. Navigation and fishing electronics include a Garmin 741 Series GPS/fishfinder and VHF radio. An anchor windlass and live well round out the equipment. The boat comes on a 2018 Ameritrail trailer and is mechanically ready for use.
