2006 Grand Soleil 50

The 2006 Grand Soleil 50 is a fiberglass sailing yacht measuring 50 feet in length with a 15-foot beam. Powered by a single 75-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine, she combines cruising capability with manageable single-handed or two-person operation. The boat comes equipped with a Trogear Atlas bowsprit and extensive modern sail inventory including mainsail, jib, staysail, code 0, and A2 spinnaker—all Evolution brand sails added in 2023 and 2024. She features Starlink internet connectivity for extended cruising.

The rigging and propulsion systems have received comprehensive recent attention. Standing rigging was inspected in 2026, with steering cables serviced, bow thruster and saildrive anodes replaced, and the saildrive itself renewed in 2023. Engine cooling was cleaned in 2026, throttle cables and lever replaced in 2024, and all furling lines upgraded to Dyneema. A full set of six AGM group 27 batteries was installed in 2025.

Below deck, both heads have been updated with new plumbing lines and a Raritan aft head installed in 2024. All clutches and cams were serviced in 2025, and the mainsheet, vang, and associated blocks were replaced with Dyneema versions. The hull was bottom-painted with Pettit Antifouling Paint in 2025. Topside amenities include new cockpit cushions and a new Bimini added in 2024.

This boat is configured for extended cruising with comprehensive equipment throughout and has been maintained to high standards, with regular winter storage in a heated building.
