This 2006 Horizon 82-foot cockpit motoryacht combines thoughtful design with substantial cruising capability. Built by Horizon Yachts, one of the world's largest manufacturers of luxury motor yachts, the boat features a fiberglass hull and is powered by twin Caterpillar C-18 diesel engines rated at 1,001 horsepower each at 2,300 RPM, paired with ZF 550A gearboxes. Engine controls are electronic via ZF Marine CruiseCommand, and propulsion is augmented by 12-inch hydraulic bow and stern thrusters.
The yacht accommodates guests across four heads and includes extensive climate control via a MarineAir chilled water air-conditioning and heating system. Navigation and communication systems were updated in 2021 and include Furuno, Simrad, and TZ Professional electronics, with a full-nav package for reliable offshore capability. Power generation is managed by dual Onan gensets (13.5 kW and 27.5 kW), and onboard power conversion is handled by Xantrex and Magnum inverters.
Equipment aboard includes a Blue Water Explorer Series watermaker for fresh water production, an ABT-TRAC digital stabilizer fin system for sea-keeping, and an updated audio-visual system throughout. A starboard aft control wing station provides redundant maneuvering controls. The yacht is outfitted with modern galley systems including dual hot water heaters and powered pumps. Additional amenities include a KVH satellite television antenna system and a Steelhead SM1500R yacht crane for tender operations.
The tender package consists of a 13-foot Novurania RIB center console with a 50-horsepower Honda outboard fitted in 2018, alongside a Sea-Doo jet ski added in 2021. Interior décor was designed by Sylvia Bolton Design. This is the only 82-foot Horizon Skylounge cockpit model operating in the United States.
