2006 Hunter 36

The 2006 Hunter 36 is a 36-foot fiberglass sailing yacht with a proven design that balances performance and ease of handling. The fractional rig uses swept-back spreaders, reverse diagonals, and mast support struts to deliver strength without a backstay, reducing weight aloft while maintaining stability. A large roach mainsail serves as the primary power source, designed to work across varied wind and sea conditions without demanding constant adjustment.

The deck layout emphasizes practical seamanship and protection. An integrated arch guards the cockpit from the main sheet and supports a tall sunbrella bimini added in 2024. The dodger, made of Strataglass, was replaced in 2024 along with side and aft screens that fully enclose the cockpit when needed. Navigation and helm controls center on a custom console fitted with a Raymarine Axiom 9 MFD chartplotter, Raymarine EV-1 wheel autopilot, ST60 wind instruments, and Danforth compass. A Lewmar folding wheel with single-lever control and fold-down table round out the steering station. The swim platform includes a walkthrough transom with hot and cold shower and a folding boarding ladder. Non-skid decking is in excellent condition throughout.

The interior arranges two large private staterooms, a spacious head with hot and cold shower, a salon with seating for eight, and a galley positioned for efficient meal preparation. Stowage is distributed throughout the boat. The Yanmar diesel engine produces 29 horsepower, supporting a cruising speed of 6.5 knots and a maximum speed of 7.5 knots.
