2006 Judel and Vrolijk TP 52

This 2006 Judel Vrolijk TP 52 is a purpose-built racing yacht refined through continuous upgrades for competitive IRC performance. The fiberglass hull weighs 7,270 kilograms and carries a 3.2-meter draft, paired with a 4.41-meter beam. Power comes from a single Yanmar diesel engine producing 67 horsepower.

The boat has undergone significant modifications to optimize racing capability. In 2010, a new keel bulb and bowsprit were installed alongside a forward watertight bulkhead and mid-bow ring frame for offshore compliance. The mast and rigging were replaced in 2013 with an EC6 system. Side decks were extended in 2015 to improve crew movement, and in 2016 all lead was removed from the hull and keel fin to reduce weight. Judel Vrolijk designed these upgrades, which were executed by Hakes Marine.

The yacht has accumulated multiple podium finishes in Asian racing circuits, including wins and top placings in events such as the IRC China Coast Regatta, Hong Kong to Vietnam Race, and IRC China Sea Race between 2015 and 2024. Recent results include a second-place finish in the 2024 Round The Island Race and a fourth-place result in the 2024 IRC China Coast Regatta.
