2006 Mainship 34 Trawler

This 2006 Mainship 34 is a single-engine diesel trawler built on a fiberglass hull with a beam of 14 feet 3 inches. Powered by a Yammer 6-cylinder diesel engine rated at 370 horsepower with just 546 hours of service, the boat cruises at 8 knots and reaches 13 knots at top speed. A 8 kilowatt Kohler generator, with under 80 hours of run time, supports onboard systems. Bow and stern thrusters provide maneuvering control: the original bow thruster remains in service, while a new Sleipner stern thruster was installed in 2024 with full remote capability.

The layout centers on a master stateroom with a centerline queen berth and walkaround access. The salon offers a large sofa bed, television, and stereo, while the galley includes a two-burner range, microwave, dual-voltage refrigerator and freezer, and Corian countertops. A full-size head with stand-up shower and electric toilet serves the accommodations. Two Dometic air-conditioning and heating units maintain climate control throughout the forward cabin and salon.

The boat is managed from dual helm stations—one on the lower deck with custom captain's chair and full instrumentation, and another on the flybridge with ample space for electronics and unobstructed sightlines. The aft deck is covered, with molded steps accessing the flybridge. A new extended swim platform was installed in 2023, and a full bridge enclosure provides weather protection. Recent improvements include a new Genco winter cover and heavy-duty folding storage cradle added in 2023, along with upgraded engine room lighting.
