The 2006 Mako 171 is a fiberglass center console built for fishing, water sports, and shallow-water exploration. Its deep V hull delivers stability and handling across varied conditions. The boat spans 17.3 feet with a 7.2-foot beam and carries 35 gallons of fuel. A 115 hp Mercury outboard provides power with good fuel economy and strong acceleration.
The layout centers around an open fishing platform with a large casting deck and storage beneath. The console features vertical rod storage with eight additional rod holders plus two integrated trolling holders. A collapsible bimini top with stainless steel frame and blue tweed Sunbrella fabric keeps the sun at bay. The boat includes LED lighting, a dash-mounted compass, stainless steel steering wheel, and a fish finder. A livewell and under-gunnel rod storage complete the fishing setup. Built-in drink holders and a square transom maximize usable space and keep anglers close to the action.
Lenco trim tabs were professionally installed for improved comfort and ride quality across water conditions. The boat is foam-filled and self-bailing. The Mercury outboard—the original engine—shows 265.6 hours of run time as of May 2026.
An EZ Loader aluminum trailer comes with the boat. The trailer was recently refitted with factory equipment including carpeted bunks, rollers, and associated hardware.
