The 2006 Nordic Tug 37 is a full-displacement trawler built with hand-laid fiberglass over a hard chine and full keel. At nearly 40 feet, she carries a single Cummins QSB diesel engine rated at 380 horsepower with 1,650 hours on the clock. The design, created by Lynn Senour, incorporates a ship-style wheelhouse with side deck access and a molded swim step that extends the waterline to 39 feet 10 inches, enhancing speed, stability, and fuel efficiency for extended cruising.
The interior features two staterooms: a full island master berth and a guest cabin with bunk beds, closet, and storage. A single head serves the accommodations. The galley and saloon center around the wheelhouse, which dominates the vessel's layout and provides commanding sightlines for day-to-day operation.
Recent work includes a stern thruster installation, new bottom paint and zincs, and a complete detailing of the hull and topsides. The main engine heat exchangers and shaft cutlass bearing were removed, tested, and serviced in 2025. The Onan generator cooler was similarly serviced. Hoses, clamps, and rudder seals were replaced. A 400-watt solar panel array was added in 2023, along with a washer and dryer. Navigation and surveillance systems include dual 12-inch Garmin screens with AIS, a Garmin radar, and an infrared camera. Upholstery and cushioning for the wheelhouse seats were renewed. All fluid levels, filters, and system protections meet manufacturer specifications.
A hard-bottom Zodiac tender with 20-horsepower Tohatsu outboard is included.
