2006 SAFE Boats Defender 25

The 2006 SAFE Boats Defender 25 is a 25-foot aluminum rigid inflatable powered by twin Yamaha outboards totaling 600 horsepower. She cruises comfortably at 25 knots and reaches a top speed of 40 knots. The hull features SAFE Boats' exclusive stringer system with angled transverse framing, fully welded performance lifting strakes, and a reinforced keel beaching plate. Self-bailing decks with high-volume scupper drains and a pressure-tested air-tight hull support the boat's go-anywhere capability. The patented foam collar system provides extreme duty reinforcement and flotation.

The helm sits on the starboard side with direct control via Skyhook Joystick featuring position hold capability. New Garmin touchscreen and radar systems provide modern navigation and situational awareness. Four shock-mitigating seats provide comfortable seating for the crew across the cockpit. A Wabasco diesel heater offers climate control. The forward cockpit includes self-draining decks, and bow storage with an aft-facing anchor locker. Dual aft rigging lockers with topside access support gear stowage, while a 100-gallon fuel capacity supports extended operations.

The cabin features a super structure design with aft, port, and starboard weather-tight doors, a weather-tight cuddy access hatch, and sliding side aft windows. Overhead spotter windows with tint and safety glass throughout provide visibility and protection. A comprehensive hand and grab rail system supports safe movement throughout the boat. The 8.5-foot beam, 20-inch draft when engines are trimmed up, and 25-degree deadrise at the transom create a stable, shallow-draft platform suited to fishing, exploration, and adventure work.
