The 2006 Seaswirl Striper 2601 is a 25-foot walkaround sportfisher built on a deep V fiberglass hull. Powered by a Volvo Penta 5.0 GXI engine with 270 horsepower paired to a Duo-Prop outdrive, the boat reaches approximately 40 knots at full throttle and cruises comfortably at 30 knots. A 160-gallon fuel tank provides substantial range for offshore work.
The layout centers on fishing capability with a self-bailing deck, recessed rod storage throughout, and a lighted bait tank. The V-berth includes a galley with sink and stove for overnight or family use. The fiberglass hull and transom eliminate wood rot concerns common in older designs.
The engine and outdrive were completely rebuilt in 2024, including new pistons, rings, heads, water pumps, exhaust manifolds, cap, rotor, plugs, injectors, seals, freeze plugs, starter, flex plate, pan, thermostat housing, and motor mounts, installed by Helmuts Marine. The new DP-SM outdrive and rams were also installed at that time. A new Garmin 10-inch GPSmap XSV chart plotter with transducer was added. The rebuilt engine and outdrive have approximately 10 hours of running time. A tandem axle DHM trailer is included.
