2006 Selene 40 Archer

The 2006 Selene 40 Archer is a full-displacement trawler built on a fiberglass hull designed for extended cruising. Powered by a single Cummins QSB5.9 diesel engine rated at 230 horsepower, the boat carries 600 gallons of fuel and accommodates four berths. Its purposeful trawler profile combines a bright, spacious engine room with excellent internal finish — teak cabinetry throughout, teak and holly decks, and joinery executed to high standards.

The boat is configured for safe, comfortable operation across its size. Dual helm stations (upper and lower) provide command flexibility, and the design includes side entry doors, protected side decks with bulwarks, an integral swim platform, and full-size watertight engine room door. Bow and stern thrusters aid maneuvering, while a fuel polishing system supports long-range capability. The flybridge includes full enclosure, and a davit on the swim platform handles a tender.

Recent maintenance and updates have been substantial. Within the past year, the engine received new exhaust elbows, after cooler service, heat exchanger and transmission oil cooler service, turbo rebuild, and new belts. The Kabola heater, bow and stern thrusters, and davit have all been serviced. House batteries were replaced in 2024. Additional recent upgrades include a water maker, new Garmin navigation electronics at both helms, and the flybridge enclosure. The interior condition exceeds typical standards for a boat of this age, with the engine room remaining clean and well-organized.
